The paper.

I'm trying to work on my final paper for my Master's degree. Actually I have been working on it for about a year now. Seems the more I write the more I have to write, and not in a good way. How do you explain that what you are looking at isn't really affected by your variables? I mean can you have a conclusion that says, nothings happening? That to me says there is no effect and no reason to do a paper on it. A paper should be written for something new; it doesn't have to be ground breaking, but it should be something someone else hasn't done, and it should ACTUALLY be something.
